Tooro United 1-3 Busoga United

Busoga United picked up their second win in four StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches as they spanked Tooro United 3-1 away at Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal on Friday.

An Anuar Ntege brace and another goal by Shaka Ssozi were more than sufficient as the Eastern Uganda side strolled at Tooro’s backyard.

Marvin Oshaba was yet again on target for Tooro from a penalty spot but that could only pass for a consolation as they suffered their first home defeat.

The visitors went ahead on 24 minutes when eventual Pilsner Man of the Match, Ntege, converted from the spot.

Oshaba cancelled that out with his own spot kick when Busoga were awarded one on 56 minutes.

But Ssozi restored Busoga’s lead 13 minutes later after being teed on by Douglas Bithum before Anuar completed his brace seven minutes from full time.

Busoga’s win moves them up to seventh on six points while Tooro remain on four down in 12th.

The league now takes a break for a fortnight as the international break takes centre stage.
