Busoga United picked up their first win of the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) following their impressive 3-1 defeat of Bright Stars in Jinja on Saturday.

An early strike by Joel Madondo, an Ibrahim Mugulusi free kick and a late goal by Dan Ssewava were enough for the Eastern side to move above Tooro United to 10th on three points.

Isaac Isinde’s own goal in injury time could only count for a consolation for the visitors.

Bright Stars, who have only one point from three matches, fall to second from bottom.

At Namboole, hosts Police and Mbarara City played out a goalless draw while at Lugogo, Proline did not turn up for their encounter with SC Villa.
