KCCA coach Morley Byekwaso expects a tough tie when his team visits Wakiso Giants in the second round league opener at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso.
The reverse fixture was closely contested with the Kasasiro winning 3-2 despite a late surge from the Purple Sharks.
“We have prepared our team so well but we expect to face a stiff resistance in Wakiso. They are in fourth position and the difference between them and us shows how tough the encounter will be,” Byekwaso told the media.
“But we shall fight to ensure we pick maximum points because failure will call for unnecessary pressure.”
Both teams miss a few players who are with the national U-20 team but it’s the hosts that will miss first teamers in Titus Ssematimba, Ronald Madoi and Apollo Kagogwe.
KCCA also have midfielder Ashraf Mugume and Julius Poloto through injury while Denis Iguma (doubtful) and Peter Magambo (documentation) could miss out.
In the last five meetings, KCCA have won 3, Wakiso Giants 1 and the other a draw.
