Uganda’s continental representatives KCCA and Vipers have had contrasting news as regards venues to host their CAF engagements.

For KCCA, the reigning Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL), they have had Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo cleared while Vipers’ new home at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende has been asked to wait for completion of some works.

The Kasasiro made the news known via their official social media platforms, Twitter and Facebook.

KCCA FC Chief Executive Officer, David Tamale is delighted with the development and promised the project to be complete by next week.

“As a club, we are delighted with the news,” he said. “The onus is now to complete every detail and we hope to be done before the league match against Bul on Tuesday February 7, 2017,” he added.

KCCA will play Angola’s Primeiro de Agosto on Friday February 7 at the venue.

Vipers for Namboole

Meanwhile, Vipers will play their matches at Namboole with Comoros’ Volcano Moroni their CAF Confederations Cup opponents.

The two-time champions will also host Lweza, in their opening match of the second round of the AUPL at Namboole.
