Champions KCCA crowned for 13th time

Selected final day result

KCCA 6-1 Maroons

It was fanfare at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo as new Uganda Premier League champions KCCA were crowned for the 13th time on Saturday.

And they crowned it in style, annihilating visiting Maroons 6-1 to wrap the 2018/19 season with 66 points, seven ahead of second placed Vipers.

Fans mixed and celebrated with KCCA players at full time, with manager Mike Mutebi and his assistant Morley Byekwaso joining in to take in the feat.

This is Mutebi’s third league title in four years and KCCA’s seventh in five.

A Patrick Henry Kaddu brace and one goal apiece from Muzamiru Mutyaba, Allan Okello, Allan Kyambadde and Herbert Achai more than sufficient to demolish Maroons. Seif Batte scored Maroons consolation.
