Long time serving football administrator Yusuf ‘Chuni’ Kyeyune has been appointed SC Villa chairman on technical issues.
The former Chicago FC owner, famously known as ‘Cowboy’ in the football circles, is believed to have signed a two-year deal with the club but will work at an executive level.
Chuni was unveiled to the press and SC Villa fans at Villa Park on Sunday by club president Ben Immanuel Misagga.
At the same function, Misagga confirmed Shafik Bisaso, former assistant to sacked Deo Sserwadda as the head coach of the club.
The soft spoken tactician now takes full charge and will be assisted by former fullback Robert Ssekweyama as his assistant.
Valley Mugwanya returns to the goalkeeping role that had Chris Lobbo before although he will still remain in charge of team coordination and management.
The Jogoos currently lie fourth on the 16-team Uganda Premier League log with 15 points, four adrift of leaders KCCA, who have played one more game.
