Friendly results
Congo 1-0 Uganda
Uganda 1-1 Guinea
Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre says it’s not all about results but the lessons picked from the two friendlies Uganda have played ahead of Africa Nations Championship (Chan) that kicks off on Saturday.
The Frenchman lost his first game when Uganda fell 1-0 to Congo on Tuesday in Rabat before the Cranes shifted base from Rabat to Marrakech, where they will be based for their Chan group matches.
“We played a good Congo team,” said the Frenchman, “Some players got less minutes but it was good for the preparations.”
Desabre’s first match, also a friendly, was a 1-1 draw with Guinea last Saturday.
Uganda start their Chan campaign against Zambia on Sunday.
“We are going to have good rest and we can now be focused on official game (against Zambia).”
The man, who replaced Micho Sredojevic, added. “We are not looking at the results from the friendly games but how they prepared us.
“They have been very good for preparations for us ahead of next game.”
