Cranes XI against Guinea

Nelson Senkatuka scored the first goal under new Uganda Cranes Coach Sebastien Desabre as Uganda drew 1-1 with Guinea in a practice match in Rabat, Morocco.

The Bright Stars forward who came on for defensive midfielder Taddeo Lwanga scored off another substitute Paul Mucureezi ball to cancel out Camara Saidouba Bissiri goal.

The French man named a side with a compact midfield of Taddeo Lwanga, Ibrahim Saddam Juma, Moses Waiswa and Allan Kyambadde and they bossed possession in the first half.

Milton Karisa forced a good save from Guinea goalie in the first half while at the other end, the West Africans were denied a first half lead by both the post and cross bar.

Desabre made two changes at the start of the second half with Police midfielder Rahmat Senfuka replacing Moses Waiswa and Muhammad Shaban came on for Milton Karisa.

Later, Muzamiru Mutyaba came on for Juma; AbdulKarim Kasule came on for Taddeo Lwanga while Nelson Senkatuka was on for Nsibambi.

Besides, Masiko Tom and Mustapha Kizza who watched from the stands, the rest of the players made the 23 man squad.

On Tuesday, 9th January 2018, Uganda Cranes will play the final build up against Congo (Brazzaviile).

After the two matches, Desabre will name the final 23 man team as required by the CAF regulations.
