Uganda captain Bernard Muwanga is optimistic the Cranes can, this time, go an extra mile at the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (Chan).
The Cranes have played in the last three Chan editions but have never progressed from the group stage.
They now start their campaign at this year’s event in Marrakech, Morocco against Zambia tonight hoping to start on better footing.
“I know what is expected of us in this tournament,” said Muwanga at a pre-match press conference in Marrakech on Saturday.
“I will use experience gained from several games I have played at the senior level to guide my teammates.”
The Cranes will next take on Namibia on January 18 before wrapping their group matches with a clash against Ivory Coast.
