Uganda Cranes will kick start their group E qualification campaign to Russia 2018 World Cup with an away tie against Ghana.

The West African giants host the Cranes on October 3, 2016 at a venue that will be communicated in the due course.

Uganda’s last visit to Ghana ended in a 1-1 draw with Tonny Mawejje netting for The Cranes before Andre Ayew levelled from the spot in the second half in the opening game for the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers.

Ten days later, the Cranes will host Congo Brazzaville at Namboole on November 7 in a repeat of the 2013 AFCON qualifier match that Uganda won 4-0 in a game most remembered for Geoffrey Massa hard shot tearing the net.

The qualifiers will then take a break till August 28, 2017 when Uganda play host to North Africans Egypt at Namboole before the Pharaohs host the Cranes on September 2 in Cairo.

On October 2, 2017, Uganda will play host to Ghana at Namboole and then conclude the campaign against Congo away in Brazzaville on November 7, 2017.

The Cranes last visit to the Capital ended in a 3-1 loss in the qualification campaign for AFCON 2013.
