Wakiso Giants 0-3 BUL

BUL continued their almost unchallenged march at the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with yet another victory, this time a commanding 3-0 dismissal of Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Friday.

Alex Kitata’s seventh goal of the season and a Martin Aprem brace saw BUL open a seven-point lead at the top of the table, although coach Abbey Kikomeko’s boys have played nine matches, one more than second-placed Vipers.

BUL have won eight out of their nine matches so far, scoring 15 goals – the most by any team in the league.

Their victims on the day, Wakiso Giants, have fallen on hard times this season, losing five, drawing three and winning only once to lie second from bottom on just six points.

Here in Wakiso, the home side held their best but only until the 47th minute, when they fell behind an Aprem goal from a Shafik Kwikiriza assist.

The visitors doubled their advantage two minutes later, Kitata scoring his seventh of the season.

He, together with Soltilo Bright Stars striker Nelson Senkatuka, top the league scoring charts.

Kwikiriza, the Pilsner Man of the Match, was at it again, laying it on for Aprem to complete the latter’s brace and BUL’s comprehensive victory with 12 minutes left to play.
