UPL RESULT

URA 2-0 JMC Hippos

URA kept alive their title chances after seeing off JMC Hippos 2-0 in an Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) match played at their Mehta home ground on Tuesday.

Moses Ali Feni scored a 35th minute penalty and Ronald Kigongo grabbed the second goal after recess to see coach Kefa Kisala’s men swap places on the log with their day’s victims.

The victory moves the tax collectors one up to third on 39 points, with Hippos – who had gone second after beating Lweza 1-0 last Friday before dropping to third on Saturday – now fourth on 37 points.

It also keeps their hopes of a fifth league title faintly alive as they trail leaders KCCA by nine points.

However, the tax collectors have played one match more than KCCA and two more than Vipers with seven, eight and six games remaining respectively.

URA are again in action on Saturday with a trip to Kavumba to face Soana while JCM Hippos entertain KCCA on the same day.
