Kirinya-Jinja 2-1 Proline
Kirinya-Jinja’s luminous start to the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) campaign claimed Proline on Tuesday as the eastern side assumed table leadership.
The Jinja outfit came from behind to beat coach Mujib Kasule’s Proline 2-1 at Bugembe Stadium and move to 11 points, one more than KCCA, Police, Vipers and Onduparaka.
Proline, who were coming off an impressive 3-0 victory over Mbarara City last week, are sixth with seven points.
The visitors took the lead from the penalty spot on 32 minutes, David Owori converting before Musa Esenu struck in similar circumstances four minutes later.
Esenu completed his brace a minute to half time for Kirinya to enjoy a rare moment at the top of the table.
