Proline Vs Onduparaka – Lugogo @ 4.30pm

After a two months break, the Azam Uganda Premier League returns with seven fixtures on menu this Tuesday.

All the big guns will be in action save for Onduparaka who play away to Proline on Wednesday in another crunch tie.

At Lugogo, champions and log leaders KCCA play hosts to Bul, one of the few sides from which they picked maximum points on the road in the first round.

The fixture will be used as a rehearsal for the CAF Champions League due on Friday at the same venue and Mike Mutebi has called for his charges to treat the match with care.

Bul are separated by 19 points from KCCA who collected 32 points from the first round and are still languishing in the relegation zone.

They will come into the game with much belief following a number of new signings under Frank Anyau.

Second placed SC Villa travel to Champions stadium, Mwererwe with a target for three points to keep leaders KCCA in sight.

Emmanuel Okwi will be the man to watch as he makes his third debut at Villa Park following his acquisition from Sweden.

The game also marks the first time Bernard Muwanga and Joseph Nsubuga play at Mwererwe as opponents since leaving Bright Stars in August last year.

Fred Kajoba’s side starts life minus Baker Lukooya who joined Soana but in Seif Batte and new signing Yafessi Mubiru, they have the quality to stun the Jogoos.

Elsewhere, Matia Lule’s Express host The Saints with an aim of a winning start to the second round to keep faint hopes of winning the league title alive.

The Red Eagles made radical changes in the squad with over nine players leaving but Lule has filled the gaps with talented but inexperienced lads got mainly from lower division sides besides Joseph Semujju and Sulaiman Jjingo.

Mandela National stadium hosts the Entebbe Road derby as the delay in completion of the St. Mary’s stadium means Vipers host Lweza at a neutral ground.

Much attention will be given to Mike Sserumaga who rejoined the side from SC Villa but has previously played for Vipers’ local rivals, Lweza.

The Venoms, two time champions have had a stop start campaign so far and with title winning coaches Richard Wasswa and Edward Golola in charge, they will hope for better tidings in the second round as they seek to close the 8 point gap at the summit.

In Lugazi, URA will be without midfielder Elkanah Nkugwa and defender Richard Kasagga for the duel against JMC Hippos but Kefa Kisala is confident of picking maximum points.

Former league top scorer Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza and midfielder Said Kyeyune are expected to make their debuts.

In other fixtures on the day, Kirinya SS hosts Soana in the first ever top tier match at Njeru Technical Centre, Police, who have a new look side and technical team under the guidance of Abdallah Mubiru host Sadolin Paints while on Wednesday, The Caterpillars of Onduparaka play Proline at Lugogo.
