Seven-time champions could complete their second double over Busoga United who they face on Tuesday at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
Clashes between the two sides have always been close with the Red Eagles edging the overall meetings with six wins against five in the last thirteen meetings.
In that period, only once in 2020/21 season did the Red Eagles do a double over the students.
The first round fixture was decided in the boardroom with the hosts losing the game by forfeiture in Kakindu after protests saw the fixture abandoned following Allan Kayiwa’s goal that sparked off hooliganism acts.
Busoga United come into the game on Tuesday optimistic as their form has improved of late winning three of the seven games played since league resumption.
They are currently a place above relegation with 22 points just three behind Express who are 10th.
Former Busoga United striker Anwar Ntege is suspended for the hosts.
