Shafik Bisaso insists his club, Expess, will not be relegated from the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
The oldest club in top flight football slumped to the bottom of the 16-team table last week.
They have managed only four wins in 18 matches, garnering a meagre 15 points.
The six-time champions now face a daunting fixture list that includes visits to Vipers and URA as well as home games against Villa and KCCA among the remaining 12 matches.
But coach Bisaso remains certain that they will turn this around.
“I am 100 per cent confident we shall not be relegated,” he told Daily Monitor.
“I have to trust myself, my players, and try to do my best, starting at Proline (on Friday),” he added.
“I understand how the fans feel but the main thing for me is that Express will be in the Premier League next season.”
Bisaso also bases his confidence on the teams around them.
Tenth-placed Mbarara City are ahead by just six points on 21.
Anyone of Masavu, UPDF, Proline, Soana and Bul can be thrown into the fight.
“The teams around us are not very far and just one win we’ll be out of trouble.
“But importantly, all teams have started the second round badly.”
He added: “People should judge us at the end of the season, not now.”
