Express coach Wasswa Bbosa and forward Eric Kambale have been crowned the stars of May in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL).

The ceremony took place at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala on Monday, a day before the league action resumes after the International break.

Bbosa beat Wakiso Giants counterpart Douglas Bamweyana, as well as Uganda Revenue Authority’s (URA) Sam Ssimbwa.

Express won all their five games in May

“This award has been long overdue. I believe I could have won it long time. I want to thank my fellow technical committee members, management, players and the fans for the collective effort,” said Bbosa.

The Red Eagles coach also collected his plaque that came with Shs1,000,000.

Striker Kambale beat URA’s Steven Mukwala and Wakiso Giants’ Viane Ssekajugo.

The forward scored eight goals and won two Pilsner Man of the Match accolades along the way.

“It is a big honour to win the Pilsner player of the month. I want to thank my fellow players, coaches for pushing me.”

Uganda Premier League Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bernard Bainamani emphasized “fair play so as to ensure fair competition in the final bend of the league.”
