Express 2-1 Nyamityobora
Express laboured to a 2-1 victory over struggling Nyamityobora at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Friday.
Badru Nsubuga and match winner Michael Birungi were the heroes for the Red Eagles as they registered their second win in six games.
Alex Komakech got Nyamityobora’s consolation from the penalty spot.
The victory moved coach Kefa Kisala’s side two places up to eighth on 19 points.
“We did not play the way we should though we forced a win. The body language and character wasn’t good for the whole game so we need to improve against Maroons,” said Express coach Kisala.
Coach Asaph Mwebaze’s Nyamityobora woes continued as they stay in the bottom two with just seven points from 13 matches.
“The boys put up a good fight but were undone by an offside decision which the assistant referee didn’t make,” said Nyamityobora coach Mwebaze.
The worst part was him telling me he feared to suffer the wrath of Express fans.”
