Express earned their successive league win of the season with a hard fought 1-0 win over URA at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

Daniel Sserunkuma was the hero for the Red Eagles as he netted the winner at the stroke of half time.

The former Gor Mahia striker was in the right place at the right time to slot home from close range after goalie Mathias Muwanga parried the ball into his path.

Mubarak Nsubuga had got the better of the URA defence to shoot at Muwanga after a well headed pass from Bernard Agele off Sulaimon Jjingo free kick.

The second half belonged to Ibrahim Kirya’s side as they dominated possession and hit the base of the post with a fierce shot from Henry Kisekka.

Abdulrahman Ajab and Peter Lwasa also came close to equalizing for the visitors but shot wide with half volleys.
