AUPL Friday results

Express 0-0 Villa

Bul 1-2 Bright Stars

UPDF 1-2 Soana

Maroons 0-1 Police

Express’ case for survival remained thorny following  goalless draw with bitter rivals SC Villa at Wankulukuku on Friday.

The result was also not the most desirable by Villa, who lost further ground on leaders Vipers.

Express move to 28 points but remain third from bottom, and must beat Vipers and Masavu in their final games to stand a chance of staying up.

Villa, now five points behind leaders Vipers with two games to go (Proline and Bul), need a miracle to win the league title.

Vipers lead on 59 points with both teams left with two matches to go.

Express’ attacking woes continued at the water logged pitch as Alfred Leku missed three scoring chances.

Villa also had chances of their own, with Martin Kizza the main architect on the left. But no side could provide a breakthrough.

Elsewhere, Soana beat UPDF 2-1 at Bombo to ease their relegation scare.

UPDF are a point ahead of Express in 13th, and play Vipers in their last match at Kitende.
