SUPL Tuesday Result
Tooro 1-0 Express
Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal is fast turning into death trap for visiting teams since Tooro United, Soana until the start of this season, moved there nine matches ago.
Express became the latest victim to fall there, going down 1-0 thanks to Simon Sserunkuma’s late penalty.
This was Tooro’s fifth consecutive win that stretched their unbeaten run to nine games since switching to Buhinga in November.
KCCA, Police and Nyamityobora among others have all lost in Fort Portal.
Sserunkuma scored from the penalty spot three minutes from time after the enterprising Allan Kayiwa was fouled by Arthur Kiggundu.
The win moved Tooro four places up into sixth position with 23 points, leapfrogging their day’s victim Express, who are now eighth and two points fewer.
Express new signing Brian Umony, also 2008 MVP and top scorer, made his club debut at the start of the second but could not change the scoreline.
