Friday result
Express 0-0 Proline
Express coach Shafik Bisaso said in the run up to this game that he was confident they would escape relegation.
But the fears remain after the Red Eagles were held goalless at home by Proline on Friday.
In a match played on a chilly afternoon at Wankulukuku; both teams tested each other, Express missing an empty net through Joseph Semujju and Proline’s Ewuche Dichima squandering a glaring chance when he sent a header over the bar.
Proline upped the ante in the second half but they could not make their dominance count.
In the end the two sides could only settle for shared spoils.
This was also the first time in the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) that Proline were picking a point.
The result leaves Proline 13th on the table with 18 points while the Red Eagles remain at the base of the 16-team table with just 16.
