Express see off Tooro

Wednesday result

Express 2-0 Tooro United

Express picked their second win of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) as they comfortably saw off Tooro United 2-0 at Wankulukuku on Wednesday.

Eric Kambale and Ibrahim Kayiwa scored the goals as the Red Eagles steadily continued improving after a false start to the campaign.

Kayiwa was at the end of a beautiful move involving Disan Galiwango, Eric Kambale and Tony Odur; the forward calmly beating Meddie Kibirige for a 2-0 lead over the visitors on 31 minutes.

Kambale had earlier given Express the lead as early as the third minute on a heavy, slow, and slippery Wankulukuku pitch.

There was an improved performance from Tooro after the break but Express held on to see out what was a rather comfortable win in the end.

Victory moves the Red Eagles two places up to sixth on eight points while Tooro, who host their first home game in Fort Portal against Onduparaka on Saturday, drop two to 12th with just four points.
