Vipers Vs Express – Buikwe @ 4pm Live on Azam TV
When the two teams met in the reverse fixture, Ibrahim Kayiwa and Tony Odur scored as Express earned a deserved win over Vipers at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
As the two teams clash again on Tuesday, a historic double will be in sight for the Red Eagles who travel to Buikwe in great form after edging Bright Stars 2-1 on Saturday.
Speaking to upl.co.ug, Express’ Wasswa Bbosa is confident his side can shock the champions in front of their own fans and termed the game as a special one.
“It’s a special game for us in our quest for a crown,” he stated. “They are good and playing at home will motivate them but we are more than ready to stun them,” he added.
His opposite number George ‘Best’ Nsimbe is adamant his side can get better of the Red Eagles although he admits it will be tough.
“Express is a good team who want the title just like we do but they will not find the game easy at all. We are going to attack from start to finish.” Vipers coach George Nsimbe stated.
The two sides swapped positions over the weekend with Vipers falling to third on 46 points after a barren stalemate with KCCA while Express moved to second with two points more after triumph over Bright Stars.
Erisa Ssekisambu who has been sensational since moving to the Venoms will be the go to man for the hosts while Tony Odur whose goal scoring form has improved in the second round will be the go to man for the six time league champions.
A win for either will see them close the gap on leaders who have played one and two more games over Express and Vipers respectively.
