Express seek to keep pace with leaders, Cops visit Busoga United

Saturday Fixtures 4pm

  • Express Vs Mbarara City – Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku 3pm Live on TV
  • Busoga United Vs Police – Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru
  • Wakiso Giants Vs Onduparaka – Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso
  • MYDA Vs Bright Stars – King George V stadium, Tororo
  • UPDF Vs Kyetume – Bombo Barracks stadium

Six time champions Express can’t afford to slip up when they host Mbarara City in one of the five fixtures on Saturday.

The Red Eagles dropped two points in their previous outing after drawing goalless with SC Villa and will want a win to keep leaders Vipers and URA in close sight.

They will however do it without defender Murushid Jjuuko who serves his second match ban but in Enock Walusimbi and Isa Lumu, they have a formidable backline.

With 36 points, a win will see them get to within three points of both Venoms and URA.

At Fufa Technical Centre Njeru, Police will attempt to complete their first ever double over Busoga United.

The Cops won the reverse fixture 3-0 at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo but have not won away to Busoga United in the league since the side gained promotion.

Elsewhere, Wakiso Giants target a return to winning ways when they host Onduparaka in Wakiso.

The Purple Sharks are winless in their past five games and could end the day with just a point off the drop zone if Kyetume pick three points in their game at UPDF.

The other fixture on the day will see Bright Stars take MYDA in Tororo.
