Brian Umony and Nelson Senkatuka were on target as both Express and Bright Stars registered victories in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) on Wednesday.

Express were 2-1 winners over visiting Kirinya-Jinja while Bright Stars picked maximum points away at Bul.

Arthur Kiggundu added to Umony’s opener for Express to claim maximum points at Wankulukuku, while Fred Segujja got Bright Stars winner in Jinja.

Jerome Kirya and Villa Oromchan scored Kirinya and Bul’s consolations respectively.

The Red Eagles moved to 36 points but stayed put in 11th position following their victory over Kirinya, while Bright Stars moved one up to eighth on 38 points.

Caesar Okhuti scored Onduparaka’s goal as the West Nile derby against relegated Paidha ended in a one-all draw. Dickens Okwir got Paidha’s equaliser late on.

The league continues next Tuesday before officially winding down on Saturday, May 4.

KCCA clinched the title on Tuesday with two matches to spare after a 1-1 draw with Ndejje University.
