Express stop Villa as Myda, Mbarara rain goals

Saturday collated results

Express 1-0 SC Villa

Myda 3-3 Mbarara City

Express beat bitter rivals SC Villa  for the first time in three years on Saturday to go fifth on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table.

Off-season acquisition from UPDF, George Ssenkaba, was the hero with the all-important goal on 47 minutes after good work from Frank Kalanda.

Victory at Wankulukuku, where the exact scoreline win came against Villa in 2017, moves the Red Eagles to eight points, four behind leaders UPDF.

Villa, who came into this buoyant from a big 2-1 victory over KCCA, drop to seventh, a point behind Express.

In Tororo it just rained goals as hosts Myda and Mbarara City traded blows in the 3-3 draw.

Makueth Wol grabbed a double on 25 and 88 before Bashir Mutanda got a late leveller for Mbarara.

Norman Ogik also got a brace for Myda with Ibrahim Nsimbe getting the other.
