Express target rare double over Villa, Cops braced for UPDF clash

  • Soltilo Bright Stars Vs Wakiso Giants – Kavumba

Express could get their first double over SC Villa in seven years if the beat the Jogoos in Wednesday’s Kampala derby at Bombo.

Villa was last beaten home and away in the 2013/14 season and will want to stop that from happening again after they fell to George Senkaaba’s goal in the reverse fixture.

Villa, sixth on the log with 28 points are buoyed by the return of Derrick Ndahiro and Ronald Ssekiganda but have no Amir Kakomo, Meddie Kibirige through suspension as well as the injured Benson Muhindo.

Third placed Red Eagles on 35 points will miss Murushid Jjuuko through suspension as well as injured Ssenkaaba, Arthur Kiggundu and Abel Eturude.

At MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo, security forces Police and UPDF face off in yet another highly anticipated clash.

The army side won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Bombo and will be seeking to complete a double over the 2005 champions.

Elsewhere, struggling Wakiso Giants make a short trip to Kavumba to face Soltilo Bright Stars.

The previous three meetings have all ended in stalemates between the two sides.
