New StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) champions, Express FC, will be officially crowned today, Tuesday, July 13, after beating URA and Vipers to the gong.
The Red Eagles will be celebrating their seventh league title overall but first since 2012 at this scientific crowing ceremony.
“We have been permitted only 20 people,” said the Uganda Premier League Head Of Marketing and Communications Gordon Mundeyi.
“Numbers are, therefore, Limited, but a LIVE link to this event will be shared.”
The ceremony will take place at broadcast sponsors, StarTimes, headquarters in Kampala.
Express ended the 2020/21 season top with 58 points, followed by URA and deposed champions Vipers on 57 and 56 respectively.
The league was cut short with four games to go, thanks to the national lockdown arising from increasing number of Coronavirus cases.
