  • Express Vs URA – Wankulukuku Live on TV 4pm
  • Masavu Vs Kirinya Jinja SS – Bugonga 4.30pm
  • Bright Stars Vs Maroons – Matugga 4.30pm
URA drew goalless with KCCA in their previous game

Following a two weeks international break, the Azam Uganda Premier League returns with three fixtures on card this Wednesday.

The match of the day pits former champions Express and URA who face off in a Live TV game at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

The two giants have had an indifferent start to the campaign with either winning only once in four games and this makes the tie a must win for each.

The Red Eagles go into the game full on confidence after edging Maroons 2-0 in their last fixture and will look to build on that impressive display that saw Daniel Sserunkuma and David Ndihabwe end the goal drought.

It remains to be seen whether coach Bamweyana will recall Steven Bengo, Steven Luswata and Michael Birungi to the starting team after he left them out on match day four.

For URA, they will look to strikers Bokota Labama Kamana and Henry Kisekka for goals as Siraje Sentamu and Hudu Mulikyi shield the backline manned by former SC Villa defender Paul Mbowa.

The visitors have only lost once in the 14 previous meetings but the tie has produced just one win in the previous four meetings.

Kirinya lost 2-1 to Bright Stars in their previous game. They visit Masavu in Bugonga while Stars host Maroons

At Bugonga, newly promoted Masavu host Kirinya Jinja SS with either seeking a return to winning ways.

Kirinya lost 2-1 to Bright Stars in their last game while Masavu were beaten 2-0 at home by table leaders Vipers SC.

Ibrahim Kayiwa and goalie Thomas Ikara are ruled out with injuries sustained on international duty and thus Coach Charles Ayiekoh will have to make changes.

In Matugga, unbeaten Bright Stars host struggling Maroons with a chance to move to second on the log.

Nelson Senkatuka will be the man to look out for in the game as he seeks to keep his bright start to the campaign with another goal on the day.
