Express, URA share spoils

Tuesday result

Express 0-0 URA

Express kicked off their 2018/19 StarTimes Uganda Premier League  (SUPL) with a goalless draw with URA at Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

The game started 30 minutes late due to lack of security.

And when it eventually kicked off, new-look Express showed promise, stretching the taxmen to the limit.

Ibrahim Kayiwa was impressive in the midfield while Tony Odur, Michael Birungi and Eric Kambaale tested the vistors back line.

“Our players impressed the fans and now we know where to start from,” said Express coach Kefa Kisala.

His counterpart Sam Ssimbwa blamed fatigue.

“We didn’t play well because of fatigue, eight of my players we in Fufa Drum and Fufa refused to extend the game.

“We didn’t deserve to win or get a point because my players didn’t want to play. Express were the better side.”

Express next travel to Kavumba on Saturday to play Mbarara City in the delayed match.
