Express FC host rivals Vipers eager to close gap as they intend to avoid losing ground in the title race.
The champions have started slow losing two of their three games played so far and have only managed to score once.
They host a Venoms side that is beaming with confidence at the time with two wins in as many games, scoring for fun and yet to concede so far.
Nevertheless, the Red Eagles come into the game aware that defeat will jeopardise their title defence.
Eric Kambale is back from injury after he sat out game against BUL FC but Godfrey Lwesibawa and skipper Enoch Walusimbi remain on the sidelines.
“I am happy we picked up our first win away against BUL FC on Tuesday, we’ve since been preparing for Vipers,” said Express’ James Odoch who will be in the dugout in Wasswa Bbosa’s absence.
“We respect them because they’ve been winning games but we also want to win our first game at home and the boys know what’s at stake”.
His counterpart Marcelo Cardoso said; “We have used the previous days since our last game against Wakiso Giants to prepare for our next match against Express FC well.
“So, the players have worked so hard and know the ultimate goal is to win the next game always.”
In other games, KCCA host Tooro United, Wakiso Giants face off with Busoga United while BUL FC are away to Onduparaka.
