Azam Uganda Premier League

BUL Vs Jinja SSS, Kakindu, 4:00pm Live on Azam TV

The Saints Vs Police, Mwererwe, 4:30pm

Proline Vs JMC, Lugogo, 4:30pm

Onduparaka Vs Bright Stars, Arua, 4:30pm

Sadolin Vs URA, Namboole, 4:30pm

New URA coach Ibrahim Kirya will be eager to get off on a high when his side take on Sadolin Paints in the Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) at Namboole on Tuesday.

Kirya replaced sacked Kefa Kisala a week ago following the tax collectors’ mediocre campaign thus far.

Once part of the coaching staff at URA, Kirya will, however, be mindful of the fact that the tax collectors have beaten Sadolin only once in five league outings.

With the league title chase all but over for URA, Kirya has been tasked to deliver the Uganda Cup on his return to Lugazi as the head coach.

He has also been asked to guide the fifth-placed URA to a top three finish.

“For the start, I will keep the team that got victory against Lweza last week and hope to build on that,” said Kirya.

“Sadolin is difficult to break down at home but we have a solution for that.” Kirya will be without injured goalkeeper Rafian Alionzi.

After losing four league matches in a row, Sadolin bounced back to beat Bright Stars and URA will know too well they have a game on their hands.

“We know Kirya plays a physical game with two strikers and we are prepared for that. The Bright Stars win gave us the much needed morale,” Sadolin coach Samadu Musafiri said.

Musafiri is without injured midfielder peter Katumba and striker Nasser Muzamiru but Isaac Muyanga returns.

On the same day, Jinja will be served to a derby when Bul and Jinja SSS, tied on 16 points apiece, have a go at each other in a race to survive the drop.

Others in action are Proline, fresh from a goalless draw with SC Villa, against JMC Hippos at Lugogo, Saints vs Police in Matugga, and Onduparaka taking on Bright Stars in Arua.
