Onduparaka 1-1 Wakiso Giants
Seventeen goals were scored in five StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches on Tuesday, with an average of 3.4 per game.
Two games involving SC Villa versus URA and Police against Gaddafi each produced four-goal thrillers.
But it is BUL who rained them most, spraying Busoga United with five in the 5-0 thrashing in Jinja.
Ibrahim Nsimbe helped himself to a hat-trick with his goals coming on 23, 28 and 53 minutes, while Musa Esenu and
Richard Wandyaka chipped in with two others.
The big win moved decently sandwiched BUL level on 17 points with second-placed Vipers and UPDF just below them.
Busoga’s fifth defeat in eight games keeps them just a place above relegation on seven points.
At Wankulukuku, it was a professional job by hosts Express as they sailed through with a 2-0 win over Mbarara City.
Eric Kambale’s 25th minute penalty and Godfrey Lwesibawa’s strike four minutes from full time moved the hosts up to sixth on 15 points from nine matches.
Mbarara are just three places below the Red Eagles on 10.
At the MTN Omondi Stadium, Police and Gaddafi played out a 2-2 draw, with Juma Balinya and Herman Wasswa netting for the hosts and Amos Kirya and Hassan Musana for the visitors.
Ahmed Amayo scored for Onduparaka before Lubwama levelled for Wakiso Giants in that 1-1 draw in Arua.
