Police 0 – 0 SC Villa

Busoga United 2 – 1 Wakiso Giants

It was a case of two points dropped for SC Villa as they drew goalless with Police in the two teams battle against relegation on Monday.

The Jogoos missed a penalty when Benson Muhindo skied his kick from 12 yards following Police defender Joseph Sentume’s handball.

Yet it is Police that left the MTN Omondi Stadium in more serious danger of going down.

The result left Police third from bottom. They are three points from safety and four behind Villa, who themselves moved to 29 points.

At 29 points, Villa are level with Busoga United, who remain inferior in goal difference despite the East side’s 2-1 victory over Wakiso Giants on the same day.

Dickson Niwamanya and an own goal by George Kaddu ensured Busoga’s win, while Wakiso captain Anthony Mayanja got the visitors consolation.

Villa have three games left including against new champions Vipers, Arua Hill and Bul FC.

Police end their season against Wakiso Giants, Bul and Vipers.
