Gaddafi 2-0 Arua Hill

Onduparaka 0-0 Wakiso Giants

StarTimes Uganda Premier League table leaders Wakiso Giants fluffed the opportunity to consolidate their control at the top after being held goalless by Onduparaka on Wednesday.

The result at Bombo Military Barracks Ground moves the Purple Sharks to 18 points from nine matches.

They are four points ahead of BUL, Vipers SC, SC Villa and Express .

Wakiso Giants have also played two games more than BUL and Vipers, and one ahead of Villa and Express.

Onduparaka remain bottom of the 15-team log with just two points from eight matches.

Elsewhere, Alex Kitata and Brian Kalumba were on target as Gaddafi returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Arua Hill.

The victory at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja, which is Gaddafi’s third in eight matches, moves them three places up to seventh on 12 points.

It was also important because coach Waswa Bbosa’s side were bouncing back from a 2-0 defeat to Wakiso Giants.

For Arua Hill, fortunes have drastically changed for the worst since their impressive unbeaten start to the season.

This latest defeat is their fourth in a row and sees them drop one spot to ninth on 10 points from eight matches.

Gaddafi’s goals came on the 59th and 81st minutes, Godfrey Lwesibawa first setting up Kitata for the striker’s fourth of the season before Pilsner Man of the Match, Kalumba, wrapped things up.
