Gaddafi 2-1 SC Villa

Tooro United 1-3 BUL

Soltilo Bright Stars 0-0 Arua Hill

SC Villa’s on-field struggles continued on Friday when they fell into a Gaddafi FC ambush in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) in Jinja on Friday.

Hassan Musana’s penalty and another goal by Buchochera Jamaldin were enough to put coach Petros Koukouras’s boys to the sword.

An Umar Kyeyune own goal had given 10-man Villa a 1-0 inside 16 minutes.

But Gaddafi responded three minutes later, Musana scoring from a penalty spot for 1-1.

Scorer turned provider for Buchochera to claim Gaddafi’s winner with a quarter of the game to play.

But there was still time for Villa to suffer double jeopardy, Amir Kakomo getting sent off after a second bookable offence.

This is Villa’s fourth defeat in eight matches.

The Jogoos have won just twice and drawn as many for a 12th position in a 16-team table with just eight points.

On their part, eighth-placed were winning their third match in 10. They have 13 points in their first topflight season.

Elsewhere, Ibrahim Kazindula, Walter Ochora and Ibrahim Nsimbe scored for BUL in the Jinja side’s comprehensive 3-1 away victory over Tooro United.

Marvin Oshaba’s eighth minute penalty was in the end only a consolation.

The big win thrusted BUL back into the second place above Vipers on 20 points, six behind leaders KCCA.

Tooro remain second from bottom on four points from 10 games.
