Busoga United 0-1 Gaddafi

Stephen Munguchi came off the bench to score the winner as Gaddafi registered their first victory of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season on Tuesday.

The soldiers beat Busoga United 1-0 away at Kakindu Stadium to claim all three points and bragging rights in the Jinja derby.

Gaddafi’s only win in five games lifts them three places up to ninth on six points.

Busoga’s fifth defeat in six matches has them three places below Wakiso with as many points.

Munguchi, who came on for Brian Kalimba just after the half hour, grabbed the 69th minute winner against the run of play.

The midfielder dispossessed Ibrahim Kayiwa in the middle of the park before making light work of the opponents defence and finishing below Michael Lutaaya’s dive.
