Log leaders Vipers missed a chance to open a six point gap at the summit after drawing goalless with Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium.

The thrilling encounter was marred by a controversial red card in the 34th minute to Fahad Bayo for deliberate hand ball.

Before that, the goal scoring charts leader had threatened to break the deadlock twice just as Karim Ndugwa and Geoffrey Sserunkuma had come close to scoring for the hosts.

Man of the Match Gadafi Wahab was denied by the upright in the second half, Mutombora twice saved to keep the score even while Derrick Emukule saved from Denis Mwemezi shot.

Vipers stay top with 54 points, four better than second placed KCCA with five games remaining to go.

Elsewhere, Police scored through Derrick Kakooza and Ben Ocen to beat URA 2-1 at The Arena of Visions.

Hassan Kalega scored the Tax Collectors’ consolation on the day URA lost their first game at their new home.

Police moved out of the red zone with 25 points while URA stay fourth on the table.
