Alex Gitta and Ddumba Sadala have been slapped with a four match ban for unsporting conduct.
The Masavu coach and midfielder respectively were banned following their violent conduct in the team’s match away to Kakyeeka on December 22.
The Referee’s report says the two insulted, abused and attacked the match officials during and after the match.
Below is the FULL copy of the Letter addressed to the Masavu CEO.
“AUPL match #40 Mbarara City FC Vs Masavu FC match officials’ reports indicate that Masavu FC head coach Alex Gitta and Masavu player Ddumba Sadala shirt No.11 insulted, abused and further attacked the day’s match officials during and after the match.
The acts of Masavu FC head coach Mr. Gitta Alex and Player Ddumba Sadala contravened article 30.2 of FUFA Competitions rules 2017/18.
Accordingly, the following sanctions have been preferred against them.
DECISION 1: Mr. Gitta Alex has been found guilty of UNSPORTING CONDUCT towards the match officials. Pursuant to article 30.18(i) of the FUFA competitions rules 2017/18, Gitta Alex has been slapped a FOUR (4) match touchline ban in the AUPL.
He is further barred from accessing the dressing room during his team’s matches during the period of the said ban.
Player Ddumba Sadala was found guilty of UNSPORTING CONDUCT towards the match official. Pursuant to article 30.8(iii) of the FUFA competitions rules 2017/18, player Ddumba Sadala has been SUSPENDED for FOUR (4) physically played AUPL matches.
The decision takes immediate effect. Any dissatisfied party has a right to appeal. In the name of the game.
Masavu are 14th on the 16-team log with 14 points from 15 first round games.
