Saturday results

Bul 0-4 Express

KCCA 5-0 Myda

URA 0-0 Wakiso Giants

SC Villa 3-2 Kitara

Fourteen goals were scored in four StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches played on Saturday, with only URA versus Wakiso Giants settling for a goalless draw.

Express are third on the table on 16 points, two behind leaders Vipers, following their 4-0 drubbing of Bul in Jinja.

Murushid Juuko gave Express the lead inside 10 minutes when he headed in a Godfrey Lwesibawa corner past Bul keeper Abdul Kimera.

Left back Arthur Kiggundu then extended the Red Eagles lead before George Senkaaba and Ibrahim Kayiwa completed the rout in the final quarter of the match.

At Lugogo, doubles by Bright Anukani and Man of the Match Charles Lwanga helped KCCA end a three-match losing streak as they thumped Myda 5-0.

Moses Aliro scored the other. “We continue playing trying to gather points,” said KCCA manager Mike Mutebi.

Elsewhere, SC Villa continued their quiet progress with a 3-2 victory over punch boys Kitara in Bombo.

Villa led through Peter Lomoro before Nicholas Kabonge levelled for Kitara.

Villa coach Edward Kaziba’s Jogoos took the lead again through a Joseph Nsubuga penalty but were quickly pegged back by a Denis Monday header for 2-2.

But a late Faizol Kazibwe goal earned Villa all three points. Villa sit sixth on 14 points.
