Maroons 1-1 SC Villa
Patrick Gonahasa struck at the death to salvage a point for Maroons and deny SC Villa victory in an Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) game played on Wednesday in Luzira.
Yubu Bogere had given Villa an eighth minute lead, completing a sequence of neat passing from Allan Kyambadde and Abel Eturude.
Kyambadde cooled down a high ball before teeing on Eturude, the latter’s low cross tapped in by Bogere.
With the clock ticking, Villa, who move one place up to sixth on nine points after six matches, were edging to victory.
But Gonahasa, whose earlier loop had been headed off the line, had other ideas, pouncing to head in the equaliser in added time.
Maroons, who were coming off their first win away at Bright Stars, go one up to 11th on five points.
