Saturday April 9, 2016 Sadolin Paints Vs Bul – Bugembe stadium @ 4pm
The lakeside town of Jinja will be treated to yet another thrilling encounter on Saturday when Bul cross over to Bugembe to play Sadolin Paints.
There is no other better way to clear off memories of the fallen former Uganda Cranes goalie Abel Dhaira (RIP) than a derby that lives to its billing. Sadolin Paints and Bul featured in Abel’s ‘guard of honor’ on Tuesday before they went on to register 3-0 and 2-0 victories against SC VU and Express respectively.
Bul will be seeking to complete a double over their arch-rivals following a 1-0 first leg win at Kakindu on October 31st last year.
Sadolin assistant Coach Samadu Msafiri preferred to ease the pressure from his boys insisting it’s a normal game. “The game is just like any other with 90 minutes and three points to fight for,” he told upl.co.ug.
The painters are enjoying their best form in the season that has seen them pick nine points from as many scoring five goals without conceding. It’s also the first time the Bugembe outfit has won three consecutive away games since their promotion.
Msafiri however cautions his players on laxity arguing that Bul is a big club with quality players who can turn a game.
“We have three consecutive wins without conceding a goal but we are not the first nor shall we be the last to achieve the feat. That’s in the past and must focus on winning more games to finish in a good position. Bul has good players capable of changing a game so concentration through the game is key.”
Bul captain Augustine Nsumba scored the lone goal in the first leg and should be a worry to the Painters’ defense after scoring in the last two consecutive games.
Bul assistant coach David Kiwanuka now in caretaker role, grabbed the club’s first ever win at home against Express on Tuesday.
“The derby is just like any other match. However the form book may not count a lot because the team that lies cautiously and take their chances carry the day.”
Sadolin are eighth with 31 points while their opponents stand on 11th after accumulating 29 points. Both teams will play their 23rd game tomorrow
Sadolin will be without Captain Peter Katumba who is on suspension while Bul’s John Wakalaita and Emma Kalyowa are out with injuries.
