• Uganda 0-0 Mali

For the second successive game in the Fifa World Cup qualifiers 2022, Uganda Cranes played to a goalless draw.

The Cranes were held by visitors Mali at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende on a chilly afternoon on Monday.

Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic made three changes from the team that started against Kenya with Nsibambi, Walusimbi and Watenga all starting.

The visitors were dominant from start to finish with Adama Traore and Falaye Sacko causing all troubles for the UPL dominated squad.

Uganda’s two chances came from free kicks with Muleme and substitute Mustafa Kizza testing the Mali goalkeeper.

Midway the second half, Express defender Murushid Jjuuko was sent off but the Cranes held on for a point that leaves them third on the Group E table with 2 points.

Uganda’s next game in the competition will come against Rwanda in October.
