JMC 1-1 Vipers
Vipers charge at the Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) summit suffered a setback as they were held 1-1 by home side JMC Hippos on Tuesday.
Duncan Sseninde scored for Vipers in the first half but Daniel Shabena’s leveller 18 minutes from full time ensured JMC avoided their third defeat in five matches.
The result sees coach Abdallah Mubiru’s Vipers drop two places to fourth in the log on nine points, three behind leaders KCCA.
Vipers, the two-time league champions, have endured a stop start campaign, winning two and drawing three
Not even coming into this fixture as the league’s top scorers with seven could help. Even if they retained the leading scorers bragging rights with eight, JMC’s equaliser rendered it inconsequential in table standings.
The point itself was only JMC’s second in five matches but hardly helps their cause either as they languish in the bottom two of the log.
