Bright Stars coach Fred Kajoba heaped praise on his players for the hard earned point against two-time league champions Vipers.
Despite playing with 10 men for more than 75 minutes, the hosts held their breath to deny the visitors sight at their goal.
“I must give credit to the boys,” he said. “They fought as a team against a side better than us in all aspects to earn a point,” he added.
But the gaffer wasn’t happy with midfielder Jimmy Kakooza who got sent off after just thirteen minutes and promised to deal with him in-house.
“He made us suffer for a point with less numbers,” stated Kajoba. “That’s unacceptable and he will be fined. I am going to fine him because that was careless,” he added.
Nevertheless, Kajoba says it was harsh from the referee before admitting they should have conceded a penalty.
“Like their coach said, it wasn’t a red card but we also survived a penalty. I think the referee made two mistakes.
Vipers have only won three times against Bright Stars in the previous nine meetings.
