Fred Kajoba has left his coaching job at Vipers SC, the club has confirmed.
Kajoba resigned immediately after Monday’s training session with reports he was told to decide between the national team job (Goalkeeping coach) and the Venoms.
“The Vipers Sports Club Management has this evening received news of the verbal notice of resignation from its Head Coach Mr. Fred Kajoba Kisitu after today’s evening training session….,” read part of the statement released by Vipers SC.
“The club management shall be sitting at the earliest to consider these developments and a detailed statement shall be issued thereafter.”
Vipers are preparing for a crucial second leg Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter final match away to Villa on Wednesday and preps are in high gear according to the club website.
“In the meantime, the playing staff and other members of the technical bench are in high spirits and preparing for the club’s forthcoming competitive engagements in the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup competitions.”
Kajoba won the league title with Vipers last season and leaves them third on the table with 56 points, two behind leaders Express with four games to go and in the quarter finals of the Uganda Cup.
