Frank Kalanda’s stint at Express FC has ended, the club has confirmed.
The veteran centre forward joined the Red Eagles at the start of the 2019/20 campaign and has played 58 games and scored 18 goals and made two assists in the two campaigns he has been at Wankulukuku.
“Express FC has parted ways with forward Frank Kalanda “Machete” after two seasons at the club. Kalanda’s contract expired at the end of June 2021 and the club opted not to renew it,” Express said in a statement.
Last season, he scored six goals in all competitions as Wasswa Bbosa’s side ended a nine year wait for a league title, their seventh in history.
The club also reached the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Express are preparing for a busy schedule next season that will include playing in the Caf Champions League.
