Lweza FC assistant coach Hamza Kalanzi was left to rue missed chances but picked positives from his side’s 1-0 loss to Sadolin Paints.
Muzamiru Nasser capitalized on an error by goalie Charles Lukwago to slot home the winner after 19 minutes and condemn Lweza to their second defeat of the second round.
“We gave away a poor goal,” he said, “But the boys played well after that. We created chances which is a big positive and the fighting spirit was on show.”
The hosts were dominant after recess but failed to breakdown a resilient Sadolin Paints backline manned by the experienced Ronald Lukungu.
“Credit to the opponent, they stuck to their game plan but this is now beyond us. The focus shifts to the next game.”
Lweza remain 12th on the log with 26 points seven points above the relegation zone.
