Arua Hill 0-1 KCCA
UPDF 2-1 Busoga United
Davis Kasirye came off the bench to score the winner as KCCA edged Arua Hill 1-0 in Barifa on Tuesday to keep soaring at the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table.
The forward came on for the injured Julius Poloto in the 20th minute and never disappointed when the chance presented itself 17 minutes later.
The win stretches KCCA’s lead by six points. Coach Morley Byekwaso’s men now have 19 points although they have played two more games than second-placed Vipers.
For Arua, it has been some tough run since that famous 2-0 opening day away win at defending champions Express.
The Kongolo have now managed victory only twice in seven matches since their promotion to topflight football.
Coach Livingstone Mbabazi’s men lie 11th on the table with just seven points
KCCA’s next game is at home against BUL FC on Wednesday while Arua Hill visit Busoga United the day before.
Elsewhere, Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Musa Mudde scored for UPDF in the 2-1 home victory over Busoga United. Charles Mulanda scored Busoga’s consolation.
